The space

Boasting more Michelin stars than any other Hong Kong address, Four Seasons Hong Kong is a power player in a city dominated by first-class dining. But there are plenty of other reasons to check into this sought-after property, which serves up glamour and comfort in equal measure.

With sweeping views of Victoria Harbour, the rooftop infinity pool offers a serene escape from the hustle of the city, while the spa and wellness centre easily rates as one of the world’s best. Those looking to cast off the fatigue of long-haul travel should pre-book the Reawakening Ritual for an intense reset before facing the colour and chaos of the city outside.

The rooms

Following extensive renovations in 2022, each of the hotel’s 399 rooms and suites feel fresh and polished, blending Asian elegance with neutral palettes and timber accents. Whether you opt for views of Victoria Harbour or the city skyline and surrounding hillscape, every room delivers dramatic views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, which flood the space with natural light.

In the bathrooms, deep soaking tubs come standard, as do Frederic Malle amenities and Dyson hair dryers. And when it comes to bedtime, custom comfort is the priority with a choice of six different pillows and three mattress toppers, ranging from firm to plush.

Food & drink

At Four Seasons Hong Kong, food is not an amenity; it’s a reason to book – boasting eight Michelin stars across three restaurants, each a destination in its own right. At Lung King Heen (two stars), dim sum become delicate sculptures — crystal-skinned dumplings, XO-slicked scallops, and double-boiled soups are a masterclass in Cantonese refinement. A floor away, Caprice (three stars) offers a Parisian escape, all velvet and chandeliers, with indulgent tasting menus from chef Guillaume Galliot. Think caviar-topped king crab and wine-paired langoustines, all served with front-row harbour views. For purists, the elusive Sushi Saito (two stars – and an outpost of Tokyo’s legendary counter) is an exercise in minimalism, where each piece – cut, brushed, placed – feels like performance art. On the drinks front, Argo has been recognised as one of the world’s best bars, where boundary-pushing mixology meets cinematic Hong Kong views.

The service & custom experiences

Between the dining and wellness rituals, guests could easily be tempted to spend their entire stay within the marbled confines of the Four Seasons. But that would be a mistake. Especially when Four Seasons makes it so easy to immerse yourself in Hong Kong’s diverse and dynamic landscapes. Whether you want to eat your way around the city’s best street snacks, or visit the majesty of Tai O and the famed Big Buddha, there’s a curated experience for you. A sunset cruise aboard Aqualuna is essential.
